Tokyo 東京The capital city of Japan and the largest metropolitian area in the world, Tokyo is an exciting, world class city. The city hosts something for everyone! For the history buffs, there is the Imperial Palace (home of the Imperial family), temples, shrines, and museums galore (there's even a parasite museum!). For the tech guy there is Akihabara's electric town and mega stores like Yodobashi. For the anime/manga fans there's the Gundam Cafe, figure and manga stores in Akihabara as well as the bridge in Harajuku. For the trend setting shopper, there are the districts of Harajuku, Shinjuku, Ginza and Shibuya. The sports fan can watch pro baseball (where the fans are just as interesting as the players), soccer or even try sumo wrestling! For the foodie, there's a city that has so many Michelin star restaurants it's almost blinding (but where you can also get an amazing meal for under $20) and a building dedicated to dumplings. The hardest part is narrowing down what to see.
